Does the model suit your lighting task?
EACLL GU10 LED reflector lamp, pack of ten, 4.9 W and 515 lm, 2700 K stands in this selection for existing GU10 spotlights on 230 volts without a dimmer, with no manufacturer documents outside the EU register. That is a narrower and more honest statement than a blanket “good” or “bad”. A lamp can be technically decent and still disappoint in the wrong place. That is why this review starts with the intended use, not with a score.
The deciding figure is the luminous efficacy, here in connection with the beam angle. According to the register the lamp delivers 515 lumens at 4.9 watts, which is 105.1 lumens per watt. With the factor of 1.176 for directional mains light sources this gives about 123.6 and therefore class E. According to the register the peak luminous intensity is 230 candela and the beam angle is 120 degrees.
For this model there are 5 readable product features from the Amazon listing. They are not presented as independently confirmed measured values. We explicitly separate what the source states from our practical assessment. We do not claim any long-term, laboratory or room trials of our own. We reproduce the quoted listing texts unchanged in content, but apply the house style for punctuation: dashes become a colon or comma, ranges are written out with “to”, and special characters and advertising symbols are removed. Numbers, units and statements are left untouched.

What the source states: They have a transparent protective cover and edges, a smooth lamp body and are easy to clean. Aluminium silver look, great workmanship, safe and drop-proof packaging
Why this matters: This claim describes a product feature, but does not yet answer whether it is practical for existing GU10 spotlights on 230 volts without a dimmer, with no manufacturer documents outside the EU register. What matters is the link to the planned location.
Listing claim: Excellent colour rendering and consistency (CRI>80)…
What the source states: Excellent colour rendering and consistency (CRI>80), presenting true vibrant colours for your items without distortion. No UV radiation, the illuminated object will never fade, harmless to health
Why this matters: This point should be checked before buying against the dimensions, instructions and the existing installation. A listing can contain variants or shortened wording. For this lamp the EU product register gives a colour rendering index of 83 as the stated value and 80 as the minimum value. The R9 for deep red is 4 and 5 respectively. There can therefore be no talk of excellent rendering of reds.
Listing claim: They are flicker-free and give full brightness instantly…
What the source states: They are flicker-free and give full brightness instantly without warming up, look after your eyes at all times. Real and pleasant natural colour temperature is like conventional halogen bulbs and gives off less heat, suitable for your indoor lighting
Why this matters: This claim comes from the sales listing and should not be read as a medical effect. A reliable assessment would need measurement methods and limit values, which a shop listing often does not state in full. The EU product register gives a flicker value of 0.5 and a stroboscopic effect value of 0.4. Neither value is zero, so flicker-free is an advertising claim and not a registered property.
Listing claim: Easy to install standard light source, No…
What the source states: Easy to install standard light source, No need for an additional transformer or for hiring electricians, You can simply screw in the GU10 bases, Create a cosy and natural atmosphere for your whole house. They are not dimmable and do not need a dimmer
Why it matters: Dimmable is only a usable statement once the way of operating it, the steps and possible compatibility are clarified. With a light bulb, the dimmer already installed must also suit the LED.
Listing claim: More than 30,000 hours of lifetime and high efficiency…
What the source states: More than 30,000 hours of lifetime and high efficiency and energy saving of approx. 90% of the electricity bill, Reduce maintenance and running costs considerably. Within 3 years, If one is damaged or malfunctions, You do not have to return the faulty product, We refund you directly, or a free replacement of the new product. Once installed and long-lasting and trouble-free after sale, Please rest assured to add to your basket
Why this matters: This point should be checked before buying against the dimensions, instructions and the existing installation. A listing can contain variants or shortened wording. The EU product register does not give a number of hours. It records a lumen maintenance of 0.96 and a survival rate of 0.9. The 30,000 hours remain a supplier claim.
Use in daily life
In everyday use it comes down to the lamp holder and space. The lamp is screwed into an existing GU10 lamp holder and needs no transformer, because it runs directly on 230 volts. Check whether the spotlight head takes a 50 millimetre diameter and 53 millimetre height and whether the trim does not hinder heat dissipation.
For this model, the purchase decision should therefore hinge on a concrete situation. Before buying, write a sentence such as: “I need light for …” and add place, time of day and activity. If the model does not clearly fulfil this task, an alternative from the same category is probably the better choice.
The lamp is not built for dimmer circuits, because according to the register it is not dimmable. At 120 degrees it is a wide beam, not a tight accent spot. It is not suitable for judging reds because of the R9 of 4. We make no statement about the effect on the eyes or wellbeing, and light use does not replace medical treatment.
Strengths and limits of the assessment
What speaks for the model
- Product image, ASIN and listing data are clearly linked to one another.
- The design can be matched to a specific lighting task: for existing GU10 spotlights on 230 volts without a dimmer, with no manufacturer documents outside the EU register.
- The available features allow a targeted check before buying, without inventing a star rating.
What remains open
- No long-term use of our own, no light measurement and no documented load check.
- Listing details can be abbreviated or change with variants and model updates.
- Room effect, glare and ease of use depend on your location and daily routine.
The most common wrong purchase comes from the dimmer: anyone who screws non-dimmable lamps into an existing dimmer circuit gets flickering or humming. The second stumbling block is the expectation of a tight spot beam, because the lamp has a wide 120 degree beam. On top of that come weak rendering of reds with an R9 of 4 and the lack of manufacturer documents outside the EU register.
What you should measure and check before buying
Before buying, measure the diameter and installation depth of your spotlight fitting against 50 millimetres diameter and 53 millimetres height, and check whether the reflector fits into the trim. Also clarify whether a dimmer switch is connected to the fitting or in the circuit, because the lamp is not dimmable. Finally, compare the model identifier on the packaging with registrations 2267372 and 2322721.
- Clarify the task: Clarify whether you need wide general light with 120 degrees or a tight accent spot. Those are two different classes of lamp.
- Check the lamp holder: Make sure that your fitting has a GU10 holder for 230 volts and not GU5.3 with a transformer.
- Compare the dimensions: Compare the diameter of 50 millimetres and height of 53 millimetres with the installation depth of the spotlight.
- Rule out a dimmer: Check whether a dimmer switch is connected to the fitting or in the circuit, because this lamp is not dimmable.
- Compare the model identifier: Read the identifier on the packaging and compare it with registrations 2267372 and 2322721 in the EU product register.
If you are unsure how much light your room needs at all, work it out once: the lumens-to-watts chart translates wattage figures into actual brightness, and how many lumens per room are needed depends on area and activity. Further models from this area are in the overview under home lighting, and the lighting calculator translates your room into a concrete target brightness.
Set-up, position and first check
Before changing, switch off the circuit and let old halogen lamps cool down. Then twist the lamp into the GU10 holder until it sits firmly. If several spotlights are connected to one dimmer switch, replace the dimmer with a normal switch before you insert the lamps.
After set-up, do not judge the light only in daylight. In the evening, switch the rest of the lighting as you normally use it, and check the situation from seated, standing and walking height. Only then do disturbing reflections, hard shadows or an unfavourable switch position become visible.
Note down the model number and order date and keep whatever paperwork is in the box. For this item there are neither instructions nor a manufacturer page to download, and in the event of a complaint the retailer is the only point of contact. In a warranty claim, both are the only proof of which device you bought. Light bulbs and holders remain replaceable, so a later change of brightness or colour temperature is possible. This device is intended for indoor use only and is not approved for damp rooms or outdoor use.
Comparison with similar models
The comparison does not name winners. It shows models of the same category so that you can see whether one of them is closer to your lighting task. If two models have the same task in the Assessment column, they do not differ in purpose but in design, dimensions and features. The column then states what is actually different according to the sources.

Our buying decision
EACLL GU10 LED reflector lamp, pack of ten, 4.9 W and 515 lm, 2700 K makes sense if you are looking for a reflector lamp for existing GU10 spotlights on 230 volts without a dimmer, with no manufacturer documents outside the EU register, you have checked the dimensions at the intended location and you will actually use the functions named in the listing. The purchase is less convincing if you expect a universal solution for several conflicting lighting tasks.
Keep looking if key data such as dimensions, light output, IP rating or compatibility is not clearly documented for your intended use. The same applies if you only like the look of the design, but the cable, the floor space or the controls would get in your way in daily use.
We deliberately award no stars. A numerical score would suggest a measurement accuracy that does not exist without documented hands-on testing. The statement this page can support is narrower: which details are available, what the model may be suited for, and which questions remain open before you buy?
Frequently asked questions about the GU10 reflector lamp
Are 4.9 watts and 515 lumens documented?
Yes, officially. Two EPREL registrations under the EACLL brand, 2267372 and 2322721, give exactly 4.9 watts and 515 lumens for GU10, 2700 kelvin and 120 degrees. That is 105.1 lumens per watt before the factor in the regulation.
Which energy efficiency class does the light bulb have?
Class E, as the register states. The calculation works out: 515 lumens divided by 4.9 watts gives 105.1 lumens per watt, multiplied by 1.176 for a directional mains light source gives about 123.6, which falls in the range of 110 to 135 lumens per watt. Without this factor you would wrongly arrive at class F.
Can I connect the lamps to a dimmer switch?
No. Both the listing and the register state explicitly that they are not dimmable. If a trailing-edge dimmer switch is in the circuit, flickering, humming and early failure of the electronics are possible, so the dimmer switch must be removed or replaced with a normal switch.
Do they really replace a 70-watt halogen lamp?
The register gives 70 watts as the comparison value, so the claim is covered. For spotlights, however, what counts is the luminous flux in the cone, and for this lamp only one of the two registrations gives a total value of 630 lumens. If your spotlight is meant to have a tight beam, check the angle: this lamp has a wide 120 degree beam.
How good is the colour rendering?
Moderate to normal. The register gives a colour rendering index (CRI) of 83 with a minimum value of 80, and the R9 for deep red is only 4 and 5 respectively. For a hallway, kitchen and living room that is usually enough, but the lamp is weak for reds, skin tones or food.
Is there a manufacturer page or a data sheet?
We did not find one. The domains eacll.com and www.eacll.com do not resolve on 02.11.2026, so the EU product register is the only reliable document. Keep the packaging with the model identifier, therefore, in case you need to prove something later.
Sources and currency
The sources are ranked by their closeness to the product: manufacturer documents come before retailer or comparison data. A shop listing is useful for the variant currently on offer, but it is not an independent check. Missing documents are not replaced with invented experiences.
- EU product register EPREL, registration 2267372 for model identifier EAC00154RW, brand EACLL (brand owner verified), retrieved 02.11.2026: GU10 cap, 230 volts, 4.9 watts power consumption, 515 lumens, 2700 kelvin as a single value, class E, directional light source (DLS) on mains (MLS), not dimmable, beam angle 120 degrees, peak luminous intensity 230 candela, colour rendering index 83 with minimum value 80, R9 equals 4, replacement claim 70 watts, dimensions 50 by 53 millimetres. The header entry additionally gives a total luminous flux of 630 lumens.
- EU product register EPREL, registration 2322721 for model identifier 1A0492700K120NP1P, brand EACLL, retrieved 02.11.2026: the same combination of GU10, 4.9 watts, 515 lumens, 2700 kelvin, 120 degrees, class E and not dimmable, published in April 2026, without a total luminous flux value. The brand therefore holds two identically worded registrations side by side.
